We have been season holders for many years but as of 2009 we will never by tickets again. The park is not even worth the low season pass price anymore.
Everything that was fun has been removed from the park, so my family and I have decided to drive further and start using Busch Gardens in Tampa which is by far
worth the money and it is only $20.00 more for the entire year. So save your money and use it towards one of the better parks because Cypress Gardens is soon
to die completely especially with the park only being open on the weekends now, why let someone else choose when you visit their park? It should be the
consumers choice, OURS!

I completely agree. The former owner, Adventure Parks, made Cypress Gardens a viable park once again, only bad luck caused them to have to sell it. If it
wasn't for the hurricanes, the crappy insurance company they used, and the current state of the Economy, Cypress Gardens would have thrived under them. I
was hoping Hershland, the company that bought CG's former sister park, would buy Cypress as well, but instead a company that has no business owning a theme
park, Land South LLC, bought the park.
I hope that the Starliner will be saved, and bought by a park that actually will know what it represents. It is a piece of Florida's history that quite frankly has done more for Florida's theme park industry than Cypress Gardens did.Cypress Gardens might have started it, but the Miracle Strip and later on Disney are what made it what it is today. Starliner is all that's left of the Miracle Strip, aside from the actual ruins of the park( a sad sight to see btw).As well as its historical significance, it was the best ride at Cypress Gardens, and it was the one many roller coaster enthusiast visited Cypress Gardens from all over to ride. Triple Hurricane, though newer and smaller, also gained alot of credit for being so close to how vintage coasters were built, even though it was only a few years old. Many old Starliner fans like myself left the park glad the Starliner is running as good as ever, and glad to have discovered what a fun little coaster Triple Hurricane is. Now, both coasters future is uncertain, however, with this current plan, Cypress Gardens future is certain, and that is failure. |

I just talked to a very reliable person close to the current owners with the news that the park is up for sale. The current owners are land developers and
tried to get the property rezoned without success so they're throwing in the towel. Good news for the park and for the State of Florida!!

Well if that is the case with all of the past failures and all of these different people who have made change after change I frankly think the residents of
Florida (such as myself) are just sick of this and they are not even concerned whether it survives or not anymore. I don't see CG getting the support from
the locals like it used to because everyone is just tired of change after change and all the different owners and losing their money as my family did last year
when we'd purchased gold passes and 1/2 way through the year all the changes came about with only certain times of being open, and cut after cut was made.
Even if it did reopen and wa a fantastic park again with great rides and was up to date with the other theme parks , it's sorry to say but my family would
never go back again. We are just tired of the uncertainty and losing money ourselves on our entertainment investment.
