Added a new set of 19 photos of the Starliner last night. Not much new at the station, I guess they added a few railings. Much more work was done at the turn around. The final hill before the turnaround is more complete now and you can see the angle the track will take. Also there were parts scattered all over the place, so I guess it won't be long before they're erected.

Hey Greg! Great updates as always.
Just wondering if you can see any signs of mechanics on the ride yet? Guessing the chainlift will be one of the last things since from what I can tell the lift is not even completed yet. Is there anything like a sign of breaks starting to be installed on the break run or anything? Thanks in advance. -Preston |

Going by the latest photos from Greg (and the 5/27 update at JohnnyUpsideDown.com), the coaster is definitely coming along. Plenty of hardhats at work, though I can't see the coaster opening in a few weeks.
There are still too many pieces to bring in before testing/mechanics come into play. I'd be pleasantly surprised with a June opening, but July seems more likely. |

And true to form, it did NOT open last week as expected.
Here is the Orlando Sentinel story on the delay. Anyone more in the know have an idea? |

Unfortunately, I will be out of town.  Anyone who is going, it'd be great if you could take a video camera and record the opening ceremonies like I did for the Galaxy Spin. Thanks. |

From what Erik (host of ioacentralradio) told me was that on Thursday no one got to ride because they were still waiting on a permit from Talahassee. I know these things happen but it would be really nice if they were more on the ball with it rather than having over 20 media outlets for a ride that is not going to open and has already had a few delays.
