This board is going to get destroyed real quick if measures aren't taken against the spammers. Maybe I need to start my own CG board?

Greg, the spam has been axed.
It's a tricky situation. I don't want to require folks to register to participate on the board because I know that will turn some people off. Besides, I've seen some EZBoards where the Spamsters simply go ahead and register and then leave their spam anyway. It's a bit of an online epidemic these days. I'll try to be more vigilant and see if EZboard has any solution. |

Thanks for killing the spam!
I have a message board that does require registration and the spambots still get through. I ended up installing some extra measures to stop the spammers and it works probably 95% of the time. The problem with an open board is that before long, you'll be spending far too much time deleting spam! |

Just a heads up to let everyone know that the site now requires registration. I didn't want to do it, but it was the only solution to get the SPAM out for keeps.
Registering is easy, free, quick, etc. If you hate using your primary email address now would be a great time to create one at Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail and just use that one. So now that everything's spruced up on the boards, let's see what CG can do about finding a quality buyer to keep the park going! |
